The inspired creation of Troy Innocent and Dale Nason, Cyber Dada represented the world-view of a generation that had grown up with computers. Cyber Dada activities between 1989 and 1994 ranged from animation, video and installation and publishing, as well as grandiloquent performances of their widely distributed Cyber Dada Manifesto (1990). Collectively their work heralded the cyber world as an enveloping phenomenon, a techno-determinist vision of change that everyone had better get used to-- and fast.
The opening words of the Cyber Dada Manifesto said it all: "Digitise the world (A new life awaits you)".
Retrospective exhibition of animation, video, installation and publishing created by Cyber Dada: Opening at New Low on Tuesday 5th June at 6pm (Melbourne, Australia)
