  • Cityoneminutes.org

Interested in learning what people across the other side of the globe are up to right now? If you’re answering a big phat resounding yes, then point your perky browser to cityoneminute.org:

“In City One Minutes life in each city is divided into 24 one minute portraits, each depicting one hour of the day.  Every film is a personal impression of the city in which the artist lives or in which he is staying. On cityoneminutes.org you can browse through time and place in a number of ways. For example:  Follow the life in Beijing throughout 24 hours; explore life in each city between 5 and 6 in the morning; watch all the films in a mosaic of cities.”

  • Building a Personal Brand through Social Networks

With the economy mired in a recession, even some full-time employees are joining independent consultants, writers and musicians in learning how to use online social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter to increase their contacts and tap into possible customers or clients. Indeed, according to Wharton experts and others, developing a personal brand can be as important for a financial advisor as for a rock musician.

  • Create Social Storylines With Capzles

Capzles is a relatively new free site that lets you create entertaining Social Storylines very easily. You could call them slideshows, but really they are a whole level above the Flickr slideshows. The site has been running for about a year, and went public a few months back. Since then they’ve been adding capability to the product. It’s looking good. They even have a scanning service to convert all those old prints into a digital stream.
