Applications for the 2007 Realise Your Dream awards are now open. Enter now for your chance to win one of the six creative industry prizes we have on offer.
The prizes offer Australians aged 21-28 with skills in the creative industries a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with British leaders in their respective fields. Each prize includes a tailor-made work experience programme in the UK, a return flight and $8000 to cover living expenses while you are there.
The British Council will use its creative contacts in the UK to set up a personal tailored work experience programme for you in the UK. Visit the Winners’ Gallery section for examples of past experiences.
This opportunity is open to Australians working in: industrial and object design, design, fashion, moving image, advertising, words, production, direction, architecture and music.
The Realise Your Dream application process has two key steps as follows:
1. Applicants must complete the online registration form
2. Applicants must produce a three-minute DVD that explains their dream and how a short professional trip to the UK will help achieve it. This DVD must be sent to: Realise Your Dream Application, c/o British Council Australia, PO Box 88, Edgecliff, NSW, 2027
Both requirements must be completed by Tuesday 31 July 2007. (DVDs will be accepted if postmarked Tuesday 31 July 2007).
