Plug-in TV Opens New Office

The next Plug in TV meeting will be Tuesday the 26th of June/07 — 6:30-8:30 over dinner. The meeting will be held at Augustine Centre in Hawthorn, Melbourne home to Plug in TV’s new office. All are free to come along, members and non-members alike.

There will be a ‘ribbon cutting ceremony’, short tour of the new office, and the Augustine Centre facilities, discussion about new developments and directions for Plug in TV, and dinner. People are also welcome to christen the new office with any interesting bits and pieces, paraphernalia, or anything else un-needed in its present state. Everyone is encouraged to bring home cooked food or takeaway to share.

Mission

1. Plug in TV focuses on issues related to social justice and environmental sustainability, in particular highlighting examples where people are making a difference in the community through new projects, initiatives and everyday acts of heroism and sacrifice for the benefit of humankind and the sustainability of the planet.

2. Plug in TV is an outlet for stories on alternative living, social justice, ecological sustainability, of under-represented groups, such as youth or political minorities, on indigenous rights and reconciliation, migrant issues, education, health, culture, arts and dissent, as well as the many alternatives and initiatives being developed by the many progressive groups in the community.

Train: From Glenferrie Station walk East on Burwood Rd for about 8-10 min and make right on Hepburn, and another right on Minona st. From Auburn Station walk West on Burwood Rd for 5-7 min make a left on Hepburn and a quick right on Minona. Tram: Routes 70, 75 – stop 33 or 34, walk along Belgrave & Elmie Streets, Hepburn Street to Minona Street.
