‘Greengrocer,’ an installation by Catherine Clover

Catherine’s practice concentrates on the mediums of sound, digital imaging and installation. Her interest in found objects, including found sound [field recordings] in particular, have led to a focus on contemporary landscape and ideas surrounding our relationship with wilderness, technology and art. The daily, the ordinary and the everyday inform this exploration. This installation looks at the Greengrocer cicada [Cyclochila australasiae], the cicada whose loud and pervasive song we are all so familiar with in urban and suburban Melbourne and Sydney.
