Call for light-based works closes 30 November for exhibition in August 2016
Globelight is a program of events and exhibitions showcasing new talent in light art and design. It aims to facilitate the further development of light as an art form by showcasing the diverse approaches of light as a means of communication and self-expression. Australian and International artists and designers are invited to submit proposals for light-based works in any format, including object-based, installation, photography, projection and video.

MELBOURNE: MEDIA LAB MELBOURNE AND GERTRUDE STREET PROJECTION FESTIVAL SPRINT
Media Lab Melbourne will be running its fourth Sprint as part of the Gertrude Street Projection Festival. Working out of Seventh Gallery at 155 Gertrude St, they will be re-imagining the possibilities of projections and screens during the Antiscreen Sprint. This event will explore alternate methods of projecting light. They are interested in understanding and exploring the cultural effects of technology and will be breaking down the familiar and reconstructing it into a new form. Media Lab Melbourne will be leading an intensive nine day workshop on unconventional, novel and subverted light imagery techniques.
