Here’s to Alice Herz-Sommer, a holocaust survivor whose advice regarding life = incredibly poignant + profoundly wonderful [store it up: she makes complete sense considering she’s 109]. When asked what’s the secret of her feeling so good at her age, she replies:

“Optimism, and looking for the good. Life is beautiful. To be happy, to admire, to thank. [Being] thankful that we are living. Wherever you look is beauty.”
