Take your android by the hand

Are we about to see the world’s first ballet-dancing robot? Wayne McGregor, resident choreographer at the Royal Ballet, has started work on a new piece looking at the links between artificial intelligence and choreography. Called Entity, it will be McGregor’s first new production with his own ballet company, Random Dance, in two years, and will premiere at London’s Sadler’s Wells in April before touring nationwide.

DNA dating site predicts chemical romance

In a perfect world, everyone would be able to find someone special. That isn’t always the case, and while most online dating services attempt to match people up by hobbies and interest, a new service called Scientific Match is hoping to help people find love (or at least some romance) using DNA. Users send the service a cheek swab and some spit, and the service takes care of the rest. Elsa Wenzel chats with the founders to find out more.
