Virtual Systems and Multimedia ’07

VSMM’07, the international conference for Virtual Systems and Multimedia. This will take place in Brisbane, 23 – 26 September, 2007. The theme is ‘Exchange and Experience in Space and Place.’

Topics to be covered include:

Virtual Heritage and Virtual Cultures Virtual Environments and Virtual Experiences Applied technologies and systems

Keynote speakers include:

  • Dr Mark Billinghurst, Director, Human Interface Technology Laboratory New Zealand, based at Canterbury University
  • Professor Mark Burry, Professor of Innovation (Spatial Information Architecture), at RMIT University
  • Dr Jonathan Fulcher, Head of Native Title Practice, Minter Ellison
  • Professor Jeffrey Shaw, Centre for Interactive Cinema Research, University of NSW
  • Ms Minja Yang, Director and UNESCO Representative to Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka

The conference has the patronage of the UNESCO Culture Section.

Papers have been received from across the world including Austria, Australia, Belgium, China, Egypt, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey and the USA.
