Move over Australian Idol – here comes Open’s Channel 2007 Short & Sharp Pitching Competition!

Wednesday, August 22, 6.30 – 9.00pm

It’s back! OPEN CHANNEL and Cinema Nova present the 2007 Short & Sharp Pitching Competition in association with the Human Rights Arts & Film Festival. Finalists will pitch an original short film idea with a human rights angle in front of panel of film industry judges and audience for the chance to get their film made. The judging panel this year will include acclaimed producer Sue Maslin (‘Japanese Story’), Melbourne director Alkinos Tsilimidos (‘Em 4 Jay’) and producer Gai Dunlop, Ambassador to Australia for the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmy Awards). It’s a fun, entertaining evening with an unique insight into what makes a winning pitch!

Wednesday, August 22, 6.30 – 9.00pm Tickets available at the box office: $8 full/$6 for Cinema Nova Privilege cardholders, OPEN CHANNEL members and concessions (includes entry to the Short & Sharp ‘after party’!)
