GREEN PC WITH OPEN SOURCE

GREEN PC WITH OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE GOES ON SALE

The Zonbu is a new ‘green’ PC that has recently been released in the US. The PC runs on the open source Linux operating system, and features flash memory rather then a hard-drive. Files are stored remotely on the Zonbu servers so they can be accessed anywhere and will be safe if the PC gets corrupted or damaged. The PC is also Eco friendly, using just 10 Watts as opposed to a standard PC which uses 200 Watts. Check out the review on Gizmondo.

If you want to get a sense of what day-to-day use of the Zonbu is like, I ordered one and I’m blogging about it.

It works pretty well for web surfing and light office work.
