Armageddon Multimedia Expo:Melb

October 13 and 14, 2007 sees Melbourne welcome the arrival of the brand new and amazing ARMAGEDDON MULTIMEDIA EXPO at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Featuring an amazing array of ‘pop-culture’ exhibits, Armageddon is the largest show of its type in the southern hemisphere, bringing together comics, animation, computer games, TV & Movie stars, wrestlers, live games, sports and music, all under the one roof.

Enforcing the fun will be international WWE wrestling superstars Christy Hemme and Rob Van Dam. During his career, Rob’s won a number of title belts, including ECW TV Champion, WWF Hardcore Champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Chris Rankin will also be in attendance to weave his magic. Chris plays the eldest Weasly boy Percy, in the Harry Potter films and will be seen in the upcoming Harry Potter film ‘Order of the Phoenix’.

Also making an appearance at Armageddon will be Billy West, who is best known for his lead voice on Futurama as Philip J. Fry, Professor Hubert Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg and Zapp Brannigan. Billy has been in television since the late ‘80’s providing the voice of Stimpy in Nickelodeon’s The Ren and Stimpy Show, as well as various other incidental characters. He also provided the voice of both Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in the 1996 movie Space Jam, starring along side Michael Jordan.

And for even more fun, on Sunday there will be an awesome ‘Pillow fight’ on the main stage. This is an experience not to be missed. The event is simple. Turn up, grab a pillow (Armageddon provides them) and have it out! There’ll be three rounds, ages 10 and under, 10 to 16 and all ages.

Still got energy to burn? Then don’t miss the FREE laser tag areas in the heart of Armageddon. Featuring non-stop action both days of the expo, this arena will give an additional atmosphere to the event, were teams can compete in a fully enclosed laser tag arena. Players will be provided with laser tag gear and can play as many times as they like.

All this action and more, including live wrestling shows from the Pro Wrestling Alliance (PWA), live bands, best-dressed competitions and even a pizza eating contest! For a full run-down of what’s on, visit www.armageddonexpo.com

Check site for updates and roll call of presenters and attendees, some apologies from the big ‘promised’ guests have been posted.
