CUT & PASTE DIGITAL DESIGN TOURNAMENT
Cut & Paste, a live digital design tournament, is coming to Australia for the first time in 2007. Cut & Paste was born in New York City back in November 2005. At the time 850 people came out to witness the first, live digital design tournament. Elbow to elbow, they packed a bar with designers winding wrists, judges taking their positions, a crowd swelling with drinks, gadgets warming up, and an immense energy that ran through speakers and skin. Since then, Cut & Paste is finding new faces and homes, making moves to continue its modus operandi. Competitors are given 15 minutes to design a graphic based on the theme of ‘Survival of the Fittest’. Watch as eight designers go head to head, Wacom to Wacom. For the crown, they’ll have to spin an idea with their own style in three rounds as projectors stream their living designs across the venue.
