Be part of history this coming Saturday night when the Sounds Of Seduction opens early for Election Night at 8.00pm with an all celebrity panel featuring DAVE GRAINEY, ROGER GRIERSON, MISS DEATH, JAY KATZ, PAUL HOWELL and COFFIN ED providing the kind of commentary the major networks wouldn’t dare broadcast. Join in the happy hour through until 10.30pm as the panel give you expert coverage of the drama that will definitely unfold – one way or the other. Monday 26th November Death Drug (1978) Death Drug has slowly grown into the biggest cult sensation this side of Reefer Madness. It stars Philip Michael Thomas (Miami Vice) aspiring musician whose career begins to take off after he signs with a big-time record company. Looking for some reefer to score he is instead offered “whack” PCP with the promises that it will “put the dip in your hip, more cut in your strut, and more glide in your stride.” Well it puts more into his life than he bargained for. Tuesday 27th November Para(noid)  politics in the Archives Behind the Mothman Prophecies With so much talk that the end is neigh (2012, George Bush ect) we think its time to go back to the original harbinger of doom, The Mothman.  We will be assisted greatly by the original Mothman photographer Andy Colvin and the author of “The Mothman Prophecies” John Keel. Interviews with eye witnesses and information on other sightings just before Baghdad was invaded and Chernobyl had a melt down. Also a trip to Point Pleasant for the unveiling of the Mothman statue. Finally the ultimate prophet of doom rises from the ashes for the last time to tell us its all over red rover. Mu-Meson Archives doors 7.30 for 8pm start with supper $10.

Thursday 29th November Directors Cut: Campbell Drummond’s Unique Travelodge Films Sydney born ex plumber tackles the film world independently with his own interpretations of foreign lands. Filmed on the dying format of 16mm. On the 29th he will present 5 or 6 films that have been shot over the last 15 years, inspired mostly by films like Koyaanisqatsi, Baraka, Powaqatsi etc. When traveling o/s he takes a 16mm camera and edits the footage to music on his  return, in order to keep them brief and interesting. Films on the night will include, Vietnam (15 years ago, before it was swamped by tourism, all time-lapse),South America, England and Europe, North America, our own Northern Territory.

Friday 30th November Freaks, Geeks and Almost X-Rated Peeks Well the formula has finally surfaced to the mainstream and made it on to commercial TV. But that’s not going to stop us, it will only make us dig even deeper and go more obscure. All new footage as the archives go for the Guinness book of records ultimate slam dunk title of the short attention span collage. You will laugh cry and scream at some of the weirdest commercials, music clips, television moments, trailers and educational films ever made.
