ENTRIES FOR SLOW SHORTS 2008 NOW OPEN!

A Taste of Slow 2008 is a festival run across Victoria, celebrating the most common indulgence: food. The message is to slow down in life and savour for the best human experience. The festival will include dinners, public talks, workshops, cooking demonstrations, film screenings and tastings.

The Slow Shorts short film competition is part of A Taste of Slow 2008. Slow Shorts will run from 22 February – 24 February 2008 at Melbourne’s Federation Square, presenting the best short films from Australia and around the world that savour the philosophy of Slow Food.

Emerging and established filmmakers are invited to present their take on all manner of gastronomic pleasures: it could be a short film about a food experience you had, a satirical cooking program or a documentary about eco-friendly farming.

The festival will award two prizes: the Soft Boiled Egg Award for the best 3-minute film focusing on food as well as a separate prize for the best overall film winner. So indulge your palate and feed your mind with this irresistible combination of food and film.

Submission deadline is Monday, 21 January 2008 Email slowshorts@portablecontent.com or visit http://www.slowshorts.com
