Web2Open

April 22-25, 2008 South Park, San Fransisco

Web2Open is the “unconference,” where anyone with a Web 2.0 Expo badge can share knowledge and join in open discussions with the community at large in three different ways:

Simply schedule your topic, show up, and lead the discussion. These can be scheduled onsite.

  • Pre-Scheduled Roundtables: Join an open conversation with a panel of community members scheduled in advance.
  • BoFs (Birds of a Feather sessions): Informal group sessions focused on a particular topic that’s been suggested by the attendees. The difference between the BoFs and the Open sessions is that the BoFs gatherings are more loose—some are after-hours—and often don’t have a discussion leader. BoFs may be scheduled in advance or onsite.
