As part of this year’s SPAA Conference, kid’s pay television channel
Nickelodeon Australia is offering up to $20,000 towards the production of
an animation pilot. Nickelodeon wants ideas that will appeal to both boys
and girls between 7 and 13 years of age. Head of Programming at
Nickelodeon, Deirdre Brennan says they are looking for Heart + Fart +
Smart: an emotional connection with the target audiences; an irreverent
sense of humour; and a creatively original look and feel that is fresh and
surprising.
This exciting opportunity is open to all registered delegates at the
Conference. Guidelines and an application form are available from
the website.
The Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) conference will be
held from 13-16 November 2007 at the Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Gold
Coast.
