TRANSITIO AWARD
The national and international community is called to participate in the Second Electronic Arts and Video Competition that will be carried within the framework of the Transitio_mx festival (see below) from October 13th to 19th, 2007. A single prize worth $ 120,000.00 Mexican pesos or its equivalent in U.S. dollars will be awarded during the festival. Other awards that are part of the festival are listed on the website. Proposals for this award will be accepted until July 27th, 2007.

The Australian International Music Market is a unique opportunity to participate in a high profile event and network with national and international music presenters, artists, directors and producers. The showcase program offers a broad over view of the contemporary music scene in Australia with artists of the highest calibre from the powerful indigenous concert “Black Arm Band” to the distinctive and accomplished “Julian Wilson Trio” and electronic robot rock duo “The Scientists of Modern Music” performing exclusively. NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK 2007
National Science Week is Australia’s largest national festival. It began in 1997 to raise the profile and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the role of science, technology and innovation in maintaining and improving our society, economy and the environment. National Science Week is a partnership programme between the Department of Education, Science and Training, and the ABC, ASF Limited, ASTA and CSIRO. MOBILE PHONE VIDEO ART CLASSICS
Mark Amerika’s recent artwork has investigated the emergence of digitally constructed identities, theoretical fictions, meta-histories, and collaborative networks. In his new artwork, Mobile Phone Video Art Classics (MPVAC), the artist composts various art personas and artworks into a narrative sequence of mobile phone video images that conjure up both the spirits of the past as well as hauntological actors of the present. Mobile Phone Video Art Classics is on at E:ventGallery in London, 6th July – 29th July.

REVELATION – PERTH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Revelation runs for four full days over two weekends and includes masterclasses, panel discussions, screenings, workshops and opportunities to interact with film-makers from around the world. Revelation focuses on independent and low budget practice and alternate production mechanisms, seeking out progressive and inspiring works that embrace audiences of all ages, tastes and backgrounds.
Revelation runs from 12 July – 22 July.
